You may opt out of certain location collection through your device settings or app settings. However, disabling location access may limit or prevent certain features, including applying for, accepting, checking into, checking out of, or verifying Work Opportunities.
Wurk may collect sensitive information, including Social Security numbers, government identification, precise location, financial information, work permit information, and other information that may be considered sensitive under applicable law.
We collect sensitive information for purposes such as identity verification, payment processing, fraud prevention, account security, legal compliance, work eligibility review, dispute resolution, and Platform safety.
Wurk does not intentionally collect sensitive information unless it is reasonably necessary for the Platform or voluntarily provided by the User.
Wurk may request access to your camera, photos, videos, documents, and files so you can upload materials such as profile photos, resumes, government identification, certifications, work permits, business documents, job-related images, videos, and other content.
We use uploaded materials to operate the Platform, verify information, display profiles or job postings, support communications, investigate disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the Platform.
You should not upload content that you do not have the legal right to upload.
Wurk may collect and store communications sent through the Platform, including messages between Businesses and Workers, support messages, dispute communications, account notices, and other communications.
We may use communications to operate the Platform, support Users, investigate disputes, enforce Terms, improve safety, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
Wurk may in the future use automated tools or artificial intelligence to help review messages for fraud, safety, policy violations, recommendations, or Platform improvements. Wurk does not currently use AI for these purposes as a core feature, but may introduce AI features in the future.
Wurk uses Stripe Connect for payment processing.
Payment information may be collected or processed by Stripe and may include bank account information, debit card information, credit card information, payout information, identity verification information, tax-related information, transaction history, and related payment data.
Wurk may receive certain payment-related information from Stripe, including transaction status, payment amounts, payout status, account identifiers, verification status, refunds, chargebacks, disputes, and related records.
Your use of payment features may be subject to Stripe’s terms and privacy practices.
Wurk does not control Stripe’s independent data practices.

Wurk’s website does not currently use cookies in a significant way, but Wurk may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, analytics tools, advertising tools, or similar technologies in the future.
These technologies may be used for login, security, preferences, analytics, fraud prevention, marketing, advertising, performance, and Platform improvement.

You may opt out of push notifications through app settings or device settings, although disabling notifications may affect Platform functionality.

You may opt out of marketing emails. You may continue to receive transactional, account, security, payment, or legal emails.

Workers may see Business name, worksite location, job description, pay rate, schedule, requirements, ratings, reviews, messages, and other information relevant to Work Opportunities.
Wurk may limit, expand, or modify what information is displayed depending on Platform features, safety needs, legal requirements, and account status.
We may share information to:
1. Operate the marketplace.
2. Facilitate Work Opportunities.
3. Process payments.
4. Verify Users.
5. Prevent fraud.
6. Protect safety.
7. Provide customer support.
8. Provide analytics.
9. Host and secure data.

Wurk does not sell personal information for money.
Some analytics, advertising, or marketing technologies may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under certain state privacy laws, even if no money is exchanged.
Where required by law, Wurk will provide applicable opt-out rights.
Wurk retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, process payments, prevent fraud, maintain security, enforce Terms, support tax and accounting records, investigate safety issues, and maintain business records.
If you delete your account or request account deletion, Wurk may deactivate your account and remove certain information from active use, but Wurk may retain records as needed for legal, tax, accounting, payment, dispute, fraud prevention, safety, security, audit, and compliance purposes.
Wurk does not promise that deleted account data will be anonymized.
Some information may remain in backups, logs, payment processor records, legal records, dispute files, analytics records, or records held by third-party service providers.
Wurk uses technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
Wurk encrypts data in transit and at rest where technically supported and appropriate.
No system is completely secure. Wurk cannot guarantee that personal information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, lost, or destroyed.
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and promptly notifying Wurk of suspected unauthorized account access.

Wurk will evaluate requests based on applicable law and the circumstances of the request.
Wurk is currently intended for users in the United States and may be used by residents of states with consumer privacy laws.
If a state privacy law applies to Wurk and to your information, Wurk will honor applicable rights required by that law.
Categories of personal information Wurk may collect include identifiers, personal records, protected classification information where voluntarily provided or legally required, commercial information, internet or network activity, geolocation data, audio/visual content, professional or employment-related information, education information, sensitive personal information, and inferences.
Wurk may disclose these categories to service providers, payment processors, analytics providers, Businesses, Workers, cloud providers, security providers, verification providers, professional advisors, government authorities, and corporate transaction parties as described in this Privacy Policy.
Wurk is not intended for children under 13.
Wurk does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Workers under 18 may use Wurk only if legally authorized to work under applicable law, all required work permits or authorizations have been obtained, and any required parent or guardian consent has been provided.
If Wurk learns that it has collected information from a child under 13, Wurk will take appropriate steps to delete it, unless retention is required by law.

Wurk does not currently perform background checks as a standard feature.
Wurk may introduce background checks, identity verification, business verification, credential verification, fraud screening, work authorization checks, or other verification features in the future.
Future verification or background-check features may require additional personal information, consent, disclosures, authorizations, and third-party terms.
Wurk does not currently use artificial intelligence as a core feature for matching workers, detecting fraud, reviewing messages, or recommending jobs.
Wurk intends to integrate artificial intelligence and automated tools into the Platform in the future.
Future AI or automated tools may be used to support matching, job recommendations, fraud detection, safety, message review, account integrity, ranking, analytics, support, or other Platform functions.
Where required by law, Wurk will provide additional disclosures, choices, or rights related to automated processing.
Wurk does not currently provide insurance or benefits through the Platform.
Wurk may partner with insurance companies or benefits providers in the future to offer insurance, benefits, occupational accident coverage, general liability options, or related offerings.
If introduced, Wurk may share relevant information with insurance or benefits partners to determine eligibility, provide quotes, administer programs, process claims, or support coverage, subject to additional disclosures and terms.

When Wurk updates this Privacy Policy, Wurk may notify Users through the Platform, email, website notice, account notice, or other reasonable method.
The updated Privacy Policy will be effective as of the date stated in the updated policy or as otherwise communicated.
